Student Bintou Carly Coulibaly winner of ‘Pursuing Passion Scholarship’.

We are happy to announce that Bintou Carly Coulibaly, a KSU-Florence Architecture student, has been awarded the ‘Pursuing Passion Scholarship’ promoted by Michilli Inc. Construction and Consulting, New York City.

Dr. Angelo Michilli, Principal at Michilli Inc., announced the winner on Thursday May 5, 2016, in the Lecture Hall at Palazzo Vettori in the presence of all Architecture and ID students. The Pursuing Passion Scholarship competition was open to all Architecture and Interior Design students enrolled in Florence this semester; they each had to submit a 6-page booklet which introduced a specific feature of their Spring semester project. 50+ students (out of the 48 + 19 students enrolled) participated. The jury to select the winning project was composed by: Angelo Michilli and Federica Pittarello (Michilli Inc.) and Paola Giaconia and Filippo Caprioglio (KSU Florence).

The scholarshop will allow the winning student to intern at Michilli Inc. in New York City for 6 weeks, starting mid-June 2016. The student will actively participate in the projects that are currently being developed by Michilli Inc.; will receive a stipend of 1,000 US $; all living expenses (room and board) will be covered by Michilli Inc.
